This award-winning whole-home renovation in Wolverine Lake, Michigan completely transformed a dated 1960s home into a timeless Coastal Craftsman residence. The renovation expanded the first floor, added second-story bedrooms on one side of the home and a bonus room above the existing garage on the other, creating a more balanced floor plan and dramatically improving curb appeal. The original shed roof was replaced with striking stacked front gables, giving the home an entirely new architectural identity.
The exterior was finished with James Hardie lap siding and shake, crisp white trim, energy-efficient windows, natural stone accents, metal roof details, and an inviting covered front porch with tapered Craftsman columns.
