Master Suite Addition and Renovation - These homeowners, who travel extensively, needed a relaxing place to call home when they returned. But their ranch home was as tired as they were and required a lot of maintenance.  They loved the tranquil setting, so they contacted M.J. Whelan to design a new master suite and an exterior facelift.  Our team hit it out of the park with the design of the spa-like master suite with a full wall of windows that takes advantage of the views and scenery they love, a dual sided fireplace, soaking tub, floating vanity with quartz countertops and a curbless luxury  shower.  The addition added much needed storage in the basement and additional garage space. The existing basement stairs were moved from the middle of the great room to a more appropriate back hall location – gaining space in the great room for great entertaining and family gatherings. Custom display niche’s with glass shelves and LED lighting were added to the new stair well and will hold some of the homeowners travel memorabilia. As part of the renovation, the existing master has been turned into the home office with french doors opening to the main living area, and the front foyer and porch were added.  With all the interior wish list items checked off, it was time to turn our attention to the outside.
