Milford Baking Co. Front Facade & Appartment - After decades of serving the community, the iconic Milford Bakery in downtown Milford was due for a makeover. The full construction project included converting 2nd story storage space above the bakery into a luxury apartment, as well as front and rear elevation renovation. To begin the transformation the existing brick façade and aluminum siding was removed, and the second story windows were replaced. A beautiful, custom 5 panel projected bow windowed was centered above the existing door and flanked with side windows for balance and symmetry. The entire building was re-bricked and accented with decorative coins at the corners, solider coursing and cut limestone water table. Stacked composite molding in a dentil pattern and a standing seam metal roof were added to emphasize the Bakery’s street-level entrance and accentuates the bow window above. The metal roof and trim details were also used on the upper floor and unify the elevation. At the roof level, a dramatic oversized pediment of stacked molding, brackets and decorative corbels was created to add scale and interest. Commercial Projects Milford, MI
